.: Elissa :.
Yay!
I couldn't be more excited to be inside the BBR House. This is such a renowned series, so getting to compete in it is an exhilarating feeling, especially for an avid ORGer such as myself.
Applying to this game was a somewhat hasty decision on my end, but I'm glad I did it. I've been craving a solid BB game for a while now, and this seems to be just the fit. Plus, I get to play as the most recent addition to my list of favorite houseguests, Elissa!
Currently, I'm in the process of doing some research on my fellow houseguests, namely the returners. They have the advantage of having played before; however, us newbies have the advantage of seeing exactly what they did in their original season. That's not to say that their games won't change, but it's still something to look into.
I will have a video up later once the cast is announced, so I can fully assess everyone that I'm playing with. Until then, I'm just anxiously anticipating the rest of Julie's announcements!

.: The Twist :.
I actually really like this twist! I think it will help me a lot, because I consider myself to be strong in challenges. I am generally a top-5 contender in really any challenge, so I see myself being safe for the majority of this twist. Awkward when it ends, and there are just a bunch of comp whores sitting around, but I can't even worry about that right now.
I really like the idea of being immune, because then you can socialize without that paranoia in the back of your mind. I fully believe that earning a lot of PPRs will improve my social game, because conversations won't be happening on the basis of me needing people. I'm really excited for this twist!

.: The Cast :.
Ugh, I feel like I know every fucking person in this cast. Let me break it down!
I was talking to David tonight on the phone, not knowing it was David. I mentioned that I was in Recycled because I thought he would not be in it, and he was! So now I know him.
So I was just talking to her on AIM, and I realized who she was. It's definitely Colby/Unicornlova/Daniele from season 1/Vee from Sausage Island/Aaron from Starz. Just everything about his character was very obvious. I really really don't like to mix past games, but her and David just burned me so badly in another game, and were inseparable there. It'll be hard to believe that they're not together in this game.
I know Adria as SMG from Starz. I don't actually know much about her, I just know that she's another fucking person from Starz. I do like her a lot though and I am just hoping that her friends don't take precedent over forming new relationships.
I don't know much about the way James plays, but I know that he is Levine in starz. He's definitely a good player that wins a lot, and he is certainly close to Dominic. I've been warned about this pregame, which is why they're at the bottom of my list. I think they're going to be a crazy good duo.
Mostly see above. I think that Dom has been pretty invisible so far, but it'll be interesting to see how he compares. I can see him being dragged in this game by James if at all possible.
Perhaps the most paranoid about all the pre-existing relationships of everyone! She has been telling me every little thing she can about the vets, which is great. Porsche is one of my closest ORG friends and I really do love her to death. She's already being very controlling though, and setting up sides of the house and people to target. I think she has her sights set on too many people. However, she's a great player and I see her doing well regardless.
Ian is a very interesting person. Jess is super odd. I'm not sure where she's going to fit in with all of these other people. I just know who she is. Oh, and David loves her. Apparently Jess got her to apply. I know Jess never does a game without some lackeys, so it'll be interesting to see who else she has in her pocket.

.: The Challenge :.
I really like this challenge! I have been social with people so I think I have a chance at winning. I talked to Shane and Jack and they both said they would put me first, so I already had this feeling I could be the first HOH. While winning first HOH is not my usual strategy, it seems like a good one because of the twist. Having all of those points would very likely keep me safe for next week as well, which is very important coming off of a win. Nothing like feeling vulnerable after a HOH win!
Anyway, after thinking I might be able to win, McCrae sent out a mass PM. The PM included him, Shane, Jack, David, James and myself. He suggested that we each put each other 1-6 to ensure we are all safe and one of us gets HOH. Wary of this deal at first, I waited for others to respond. I got the green light for Jack and Shane, and I offered to be the HOH of the group. This move was mainly to protect Porsche, who is my most valuable ally at this point. A lot of the vulnerable people will be grateful for me keeping them safe, and they will likely repay the favor later, while fighting very hard for HOH next week.
I decided to be a good ally and tell Porsche that McCrae made up the six person deal to get me HOH. While she was happy I would be HOH, she instantly started attempting to control my noms. I love Porsche, but I am no one's puppet. She wants me to put up McCrae but I definitely am not doing that, because he is a large reason why I won HOH, and I would look so shady to the other people in the group of 6. At this point, I've made decent connections with everyone, so I'll have to see how people treat me. I may go after two vets, because I don't want the vets to stick together at the end of the week. At the same time, people may be mad at me for doing something like that.
Winning the first HOH will help me a lot with staying safe during this twist, but I am nervous about the other possible repercussions. Oh well, I can only talk more once I actually see who wins HOH. I just have to pray that it's me.

.: Elissa's Thoughts :.
So the challenge definitely opened my eyes a little bit! I am happy that 3 people I have good bonds with were the 3 that were above me; however, it's concerning that our group of 6, as a whole, did so poorly. I know I didn't stay 100% true to what we said we'd do, but I think I did better than most of the people in the group of 6. No way everyone put me first if Porsche won. While I am happy that I got 4th, I was kind of expecting to win. When results were going up, I realized that I definitely did not want to win, but second place would have been nice. I have no clue how Rachel did that well.
My strategy for the luxury comp was to put really random answers, and just hope that no one else matches up with me. I didn't want to put the obviously correct or incorrect answer for any of them. While it's exciting that I got fourth and have a decent start with points, it's very discouraging to know that if the right people win Majority Sucks, then I could be vulnerable. I definitely need either Rachel, David or Porsche to not win it, and for me to win it. If that happens, then I'm definitely 3rd or above and in a great spot going into next week.
Even if I do drop below the line somehow, I pretty much know for a fact that Porsche would not nominate me, and I can make up points in next week's HOH. I tried to talk to Porsche about nominations, but we decided they're pretty much useless to talk about until we see how the luxury comp turns out.
In my eyes, Porsche was the one who was so worried about James/Dominic, so this is a chance to start the game off with a big move. At the same time, I don't want this game to be a blood bath and then only the useless fresh meat are left standing at the end. There needs to be a balance in these evictions!

.: Elissa's Thoughts :.
That sucked so much! I hate luck comps. I am so pissed that I'm in the bottom right now. I know that I am safe with Porsche but it sucks that I am going to have to bring it next week to stay 100% safe. Definitely playing for HOH next week. I cannot risk being on the block!
