Sorry for the lack of DR entries. Last week was crazy. Here is a synopsis:
This week has been a very eye opening and pivotal week for me in the game. I made a grave mistake with Jun being evicted last week, much more detrimental than I originally thought, but lucky for me Jessie emerged victorious in the HoH competition, which guaranteed me safety for the week, although it wasn't always pretty.
Upon Jessie winning the HoH key I had heard I could potentially go up. (info loop Andrew -> Porsche -> Me) I confronted Jessie about it because I was getting the impression she was going to nominate someone from our original sixsome alliance (not surprising and best for her game) I felt a little bit bad. Porsche and Jack were her two picks, which I agreed with and even re-enforced. Jessie may not be my #1 but she is still of dear importance to me in this game, and I needed to add that reinforcement so she feels comfortable in our F2 deal. I didn't like having to throw Porsche and Jack utb a little bit, but I need to make sure I get myself to the end, so it was essential and honestly wouldn't have changed much in the grand scheme of things. As far as I know I'm the only person who knew exactly what Jessie was doing, but I could be wrong.
Upon nominations, and throughout much of the week, I acted surprised that I was not nominated. It was a good distancing mechanism so people fail to recognize how tight the bond is between Jessie and myself. I think I managed to do a good job of that. I did feel it was important for me to snag the Veto. I knew she was going to get pressure from Dom/James/Elissa to nominate me, so I wanted to ensure my safety as well as one of Porsche and Jack. As it stands I have end game deals with both of them and Jessie, so it was important I keep all of those players in the game this week.
While I didn't win the Veto, I didn't need to like I initially thought, so in that sense it's probably good I went out early. It looked like I threw it, making it look like my allegiance to Porsche and Jack is not as strong as it really is. In almost every scenario this week, a Veto player would have taken down a nominee. The bonus to what happened is that the true colors of Dominic and James showed. Jack was Veto'ed in order to ensure Porsche or I's eviction. I finally opened my eyes to how stupid I was being when it came to them last week, but this was just the evidence to finally back up their intentions. I told Jessie whoever she would renom would go home post-Veto. I knew she wanted Porsche out desperately, and went to the wrong person -Jack- to accomplish this task.
In an attempt to look desperate and scared, I promised Jessie my vote, but she said she didn't want to force me to do that <3. Sweet thing, I love her, but that was the wrong move for her last week. Anywho, they (Jessie/James/Dom) all pressured Jack to vote out Porsche. So Jessie renoms Andrew... someone who had her back unconditionally thinking he was going to stay. Oh how wrong she was. I told her that would be her best option, not because I wanted Andrew to go home, but to to show I had Jessie's best interests at heart during her HoH reign.
Immediately after the replacement nominee, I go to work on Jack. I do a lot of convincing on him to show him Porsche is a better ally for him than Andrew. The only hiccup was that he had heard from Jessie he went up because she heard he was going to nominate her and Andrew. Oopsies! I did a good job covering mine and Porsche's ass and then talked to Porsche on how to handle him the next day. It all worked and we got Jack to keep Porsche.
The best part about all of this is I was able to adequately mask all my relationships with people this week when it comes to Jessie/Porsche/Jack. Right now everyone sees Jack as Porsche's pawn, but little do they know I was the one who laid the groundwork for Jack to keep Porsche in the first place. I've thrown both his and Jessie's name around as ways to distance myself from the both of them. Acting fearful during Jessie's reign (and albeit at times I was) really aided in distancing myself from her. People aren't blind to my relationship with Porsche, but during the voting I stated I could use her as a shield which masked our F2. The best part about it all is how everyone was stating Porsche is going to win this game. Well she very well might, but it's something I can use down the road if I am nominated against her. At this point, I think I am the frontrunner to win this game, and even though I am a target it's not something people are as aware of as they once were. Even Elissa said she felt she might have a shot against me at this point, which is very good for my game because it further proves that I've done a good job of masking the relationships I have with people.
Overall despite not being in power and losing an ally in Andrew, I think it was a very solid week. I do have people after me and need to win HoH to ensure one of those people goes home, but I have three F2 deals in place and none of them are vividly aware of how close I am to each other, which means as long as I can snag the HoH key next week, I should be in a solid spot going into the F6, because if I do end up nominated, I should have at least two votes to keep me regardless of who I am nominated against.
This next HoH is very pivotal and I need to ensure I do whatever I take to snag it. It's board changes which is good since I have been taking screenshots throughout the season in order to be prepared for this type of competition. I should be a lock for final five as long as I win it. Fingers crossed!
