This is gonna be one of my shorter updates because well people have been quiet for the most part until last night. And I once again put up a pathetic performance in not one but two challenges. With the fallout from David walking and a looming returnee jockeying for position began. Elissa approached me for an initial alliance between herself, jessie, and me. She asked if we should add more people but I quickly vetoed that decision as potential for more loose ends arises. I have been very cordial with everyone and put myself in a power spot as I am a hot commodity where everyone wants to work with me at the moment. I believe most of this is tied to my DPOV but I will ride this wave.
Within an hour of forming the alliance with Jessie and Elissa (which I will dub 3 blind mice because at this point we dont have any clear plan or targets) Shane built an even bigger alliance with Rachel called the Sexy Six. This included 3 blind mice which was unknown to have formed to the others. Porsche, Rachel, and Shane rounded out this powerful alliance. This put me in a majority alliance which I am well liked by all members and furthermore put me in a spot where when this alliance cannibalizes like all do at some point I will have the ultimate sway as just about everyone sees me as a #1.
We learned after a painful wait that James is returning to the game and he puts up one hell of a fight in the HoH. During the HoH he apologizes for throwing me to the wolves and putting me against Elissa in the HoH the week after he left. He lets me know that he still wants to work with me and that Im completely safe if he wins HoH and respects how I called out Ian to put up David. So Rachel pulled out an HoH win over Porsche where seeing those 2 in the end was a win-win situation for me as I am close to both and knew they would keep me safe.
Immediately after the results me and Porsche pow wow and decide that taking out Ian this week may not be the best course of action. While I in no away want to see him succeed after the events of last round he is useful as the tool he is at this point. He will be a target for James to contend with and vice versa. This keeps blood off of my hands and keeps a power struggle live and well in the house while no real power lies with either.
The challenge so I thought might be getting Rachel on board but after speaking with her and I believe Porsche had as well she agreed that the best course of action was not to waste a week on Ian. The idea now was how to spin it so the house wont be mad at her. I genuinely did not want her to see backlash but it was out of my control and I didnt pressure her into anything. Rachel Ive been weary of all game long as I know we have a fun relationship but I didnt feel she was completely into us. I feel that things changed this round as she as been more open and forthcoming with me, more on that later.
So after much debate on who to nominate with the same names being thrown around (the James/Shane/Dom triad plus Jack) Rach decided on Dom/Jack with the possibility of Ian BD. This possibility stood just as an option if things could not be spun for little to no backlash within the house. When veto was announced people were ecstatic that Ian wasnt playing, personally I didnt care because I was playing. I quickly decided that it was probably not a good thing for me to win. I did want to put up a better shown that I did but I sucked no way to sugar coat it.
When the smoke settled Jack winning assured that there would be a shake up on the block this week. This put the house into a state of comfort as most assumed Ian would go up and made things very quiet like the game had almost stopped. Unbeknownst to many was that the gears in the HoH bedroom were turning and a shock was in store.
I had told Rachel from the start of her reign that ultimately I would support whatever she wanted to do this round. She then dropped some news on me that Dom had approached her about putting me up to flush my veto. Which yeah smart in theory on his end because he probably assumed I would put up Ian in my place but alas I wouldve used it to take out James a 2nd time. Ultimately Rachel assured me this wouldnt happen but asked that I keep that tidbit to myself which I have to this point.
With Jack using the veto on himself and the countdown to renoms rapidly coming close Rachel decided on who she wanted up alongside Dom and out. Shane was who she had settled on and while this wasnt my favorite decision it still took out someone of note and weakened a potential James/Dom/Shane alliance. So regardless this would be a good week for me as it quelled some fears of a strong threesome cropping up that didnt include me. Though James did tell Porsche they need to grab onto me for dear life because of my little friend hanging around my neck.
The house reception of Shane going up was shock, disappointment, and anger in some cases. The scrambling began and the game had seemed to hit overdrive. I had put myself in a position where I had to almost do what she wanted by saying I would support and that was wanting Shane gone. But I selfishly wanted to see Dominic gone as he is someone who tried to get me put up where as I think Shane is closer to me. Shane did himself no favors by unloading on Ian and to a lesser extent Rachel which made me want to keep him more as he had 2 enemies out for him now and he after them.
The sad part came when he asked me to use DPOV both before renoms we he felt like something may be afoot and much more desperate after. He came off as a defeated person and at one point said if I dont use DPOV he was going home and said his goodbyes. I encouraged him not to give up and to fight because I do genuinely like the guy and though I wont be wasting my DPOV on him if he can turn the tide on this vote I would gladly keep him. As again it is a smart game move for myself to weed out someone who obviously isnt very invested in me in Dom and keep someone who I have a good relationship with and hasnt targeted me in Shane. After initially sidestepping his do I have his vote question he finally point blank put me in a spot where I had to answer and unsure at this point I just told him yes he had my vote. I dont want to give him false hope but in the event he stays I do want to maintain our good relationship.
James and Jessie were firm votes to keep Shane from the outset as Ian and Jun resided on the other side. With Jack speaking of Shane staying being a problem only for Rachel, Ian, Porsche he seemed to be on voting Dom side with Porsche falling on the boot Shane side. This left Myself and Elissa smack dab in the middle with all the power this week. And up to this point we have not made a decision yet.
The only con for keeping Shane is I feel he is more invested and has the opportunity to do more damage than Dom socially. So his pros far outweigh his cons at this point whereas with Dom his only pro is that he is not very alive socially and cant do much harm so conversely his cons outweigh his pros. Just typing this up Ive thought of maybe leaving it a tie to Rachel and letting her get more blood on her hands but then again I do feel Rachel is more of an asset than Shane and do I really want to risk pissing her off.
One last thought on the week as I am still completely undecided on this vote is I dont feel that Porsche gives me enough credit and is underestimating me. In talking with her late last night and letting her know this vote is not a slam dunk she she knew but then read off, herself, Ian, Jun, Elissa, and me ad votes. I informed her that Elissa is very much on the fence which I dont know if she fully believed but she said that she would for sure find out her vote tomorrow and came off very matter of fact. Like really you dont think I can find it out, Im gonna make sure that me and Elissa waste much of the day so Porsche doesnt get her definitive answer until me and Elissa make that decision. I mean I love Porsche to death at this point I just feel like she thinks I have no game which maybe would make her look naive in the eyes of a potential jury as I have built bonds with everyone.
So this turned out to be a little longer than I had planned and there is still much to play out today as far as who will go home. But all in all it is a week I think I can put in the win column as this has pushed Ian closer to Rachel, me, and Porsche(like he had anywhere else to go anyways) as well as knock down a potential opposing alliance and potentially someone who mentioned me as a flush the DPOV plan again!
